Education Research

Intuitive Media carries out research for government and charity agencies to provide evidence to support their educational policy-making. Here are some examples of recent commissioned research projects which have enabled the policy makers to consider the needs of children and teachers:
  • Learning in The Family (Becta) - How do children learn at home with new technologies. Who helps and how?
Children and Computer Games (DCFS) - Children’s use of games technology. What they play, when, for how long, with whom, and what they think they learn.
  • Children and Social Software (DCFS) - Children’s use of social software environments and tools. What do they do and why? What do they want?

  • Learners as Content Providers (Becta) - How are children involved in producing and sharing their own (user-generated) content online? What motivates them? What do children need to help them make and share content and help them learn?
  • Emily Connected (Becta) - Collating evidence from previous DFES and Becta-commissioned surveys and analysis community usage, IM investigated the potential for developing informative evidence-based personas of learners.
  • My World (DFID) - Children's understanding of global issues. What really matters to children: home, family, friends and the wide world, attitudes to fair trade, climate change?
