Your survey
Intuitive Media will create an online children’s survey to help you find out exactly what you need to know and invite children in SuperClubsPLUS and GoldStarCafe to respond.

Children are actively encouraged to participate and may be incentivized with prizes ranging from a mouse mat to a games console. They can also earn community “credits” for taking part, which they can accumulate and exchange for additional community features, such as extra pages for their personal home pages.

IM’s research team and the community Mediators, who routinely stimulate children’s learning and protect them online, will actively promote your survey and encourage children (and, where appropriate, teachers) to take part.

Children are told their responses will often be read by influential people, who will listen to their views and consider them when making decisions about their education and other aspects of their lives. Children are assured that no personally identifiable information will be passed on.

To be successful the surveys need to be short and engaging for the children. The questions must be expressed in age appropriate language and be non-influential and entirely child-safe.

Depending on many factors including the children’s interest in the subject matter, the weather and competing major sporting events, the surveys usually attract around 500 early-adopter responses from children in the first few days and between 1000-2500 responses over a few weeks.

Your analysis
The surveys can include multiple-choice and open questions, eliciting a mix of closed and free-text responses. The multiple-choice responses are analyzed and results displayed instantly to researchers as new children submit their completed surveys. The free-text responses are analyzed on closure of the survey to identify patterns and trends.

IM’s Research Advisory Panel of respected academics, include four university professors who monitor our methods and output. Our research staff - who are experienced and qualified in education, psychology and research methodologies, and experienced in ethical educational and marketing research - conduct the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data, with specialist software.

Your Report
The report will include analysis of the sample makeup by age and gender, an outline of the methodology, an executive summary of key findings and detailed breakdown of the questions and the results. IM will provide Clients with printed copies and electronic PDF files. Dissemination is as follows:
  • Commissioned surveys - The results of commissioned surveys are confidential to the Client. You will be able to use and disseminate the report freely within your own organization and outside of the organization with the agreement of Intuitive Media. Where the Client is a government department or agency, the report will be subject to the Freedom of Information Act and can be published freely.

  • Sponsored Surveys - The results of sponsored surveys are made publicly available - either to a restricted audience, such as a professional community or a sector of industry, or to the public. The sponsor is prominently acknowledged.

  • Combined Surveys A sponsored survey might contain commissioned sections which will be private to the sponsor.
