Community for Breakfast

SuperClubsPLUS and GoldStarCafe users are avid participants before school - increasing numbers of children log on from 8am at home and at school breakfast clubs.
Both communities provide an unrivalled opportunity for children to extend their learning outside school hours. School breakfast clubs are proving the ideal setting for early risers, as children log on to work on their home pages, catch up with their online friends, and work towards their Star Awards, part of the SuperClubsPLUS ICT accreditation scheme.
The Government recognised the need for Clubs before and after school.

Research shows that children become inspired when they can continue their learning and communication outside school hours. In SuperClubsPLUS and GoldStarCafe parents and teachers can be confident that their children are protected as each community is mediated by professional educators who nurture children's learning and look after them online.
Chirs Green, Intuitive Media's Community Coordinator says, "There are always children 'waiting at the door' when we open at 8.00am and within a minute there are growing numbers of children online, chatting away about the weather in their part of the UK, telling each other what's in store for them that day. Many children take advantage of this time to upload images to the shared library, write an article or try for a Star Award".
Development of SuperClubsPLUS and GoldStarCafe has always been a partnership between Intuitive Media and teachers, parents and children.
Mrs Moor, West Walker Primary School says, "My kids are really enjoying SuperClubsPLUS. They ask at the start of each day if they can go on. I've also got a parent involved who is all for it too. Fab! Friday afternoons are fab!!!"
In a recent SuperClubsPLUS forum on early morning use, one child in Enniskillen commented "This is the best time for me, I have 3 sisters and a brother and this is the only time I can get on its not fair I want a laptop of my own".
Shannon says, "I always get up at 7:30 and get to the washrooms as quick as i can i always beat my little brother after that i get breakfast and go on to SuperClubsPLUS."
Hugh C says, "In the morning I am on SuperClubsPLUS the second it opens."
Chloe says, "hi if u r a Early Birds it's good u r because u get breakfast first and u do stuff like going on SuperClubsPLUS the best site in the world."
Community activity peaks between 8.00 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. and again after 3.15 p.m. "There is a dramatic rise after 3.15 p.m. when computer clubs and other after school activities start," says Chris Green, "Children love the SuperClubsPLUS at this time because they are free to talk to other children, friends from different regions and from hugely varying backgrounds and cultures. Teachers and Carers running after-school activities appreciate the freedom that SuperClubsPLUS and GoldStarCafe can give them because they are not only social but also educational and above all, mediated by professionals."
